NORMAN, OKLA. – The University of Oklahoma College of Law has secured its highest spot ever in the U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools ranking for 2023-2024, coming in at No. 51 out of close to 200 schools. OU Law is a state flagship institution long known for putting students first and preparing them well for the practice of law and more broadly, the complex legal, technological, medical, and sociocultural issues that societies increasingly face.
The 2023/2024 Law School Ranking evaluates law schools across key employment and bar passage indicators, factoring such additional metrics as peer and lawyer/judge reputation, LSAT or GRE scores, undergraduate performance, student/faculty ratios, and less directly, resources, and student/alumni engagement, success, and satisfaction.

As such, this ranking simply confirms what we’ve long known, which is that OU Law leads as a place where students learn, graduate, become licensed and secure employment – where they find personal and professional success within a community that cares.” Guzman continued: “Value demands affordability and excellence, both. This is not the first award that OU Law has recently earned. Earlier this year, it was named a Top 25 Best Value in the Nation by National Jurist's preLaw Magazine, secured its third award as an Apple Distinguished School – the only law school in North America so designated – for its integration of learning, innovation, and technology, and ranked as a Top 50 law schools in the nation by Above the Law publication.
