David W. Dye is the director of Graduate and International Programs.  David earned his juris doctor degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Law where he was a member of the National Trial Team, was honored with the Order of Solicitors and served as the executive editor for the Oklahoma Journal of Law and Technology.

During law school, David also began working as a research assistant at the Donald E. Pray Law Library.  While working at the library, he conducted comprehensive legal research on a variety of complex legal issues and taught Legal Research as a guest lecturer. 

Following law school, David worked at the U.S. Attorney’s Office in the Western District of Oklahoma.  There, as a member of the Appellate Division, he researched and wrote appellate briefs primarily in criminal cases.

David currently teaches Introduction to the American Legal System and Legal Research at OU Law. He also teaches Introduction to Law and has taught Computerized Legal Research, Environmental Law, and Criminal Law in the Legal Assistant Education Program as well as Governing Ourselves at OU's College of Professional and Continuing Studies and American Government at Oklahoma State University at OKC.  
As director, David is responsible for the recruitment of students to the LL.M. and Master of Legal Studies programs and promoting all aspects of the programs. He also serves as direct contact and advisor to LL.M., M.L.S., and international students and attends numerous conferences and job fairs representing OU Law.

David is a member of the American Bar Association and American Association of Law Librarians and proudly served in the U.S. Army National Guard from 2001-2007.
