Vanessa has over 16 years of complex commercial litigation experience. Her clients include Fortune 50, 100 and 500 companies, middle-market clients and governmental entities. Vanessa represented clients in a wide variety of matters, including class action certifications, Native sovereignty, due process, executive-appointment authority and other complex commercial litigation matters.
Vanessa’s clients relied on her to prepare significant briefing in matters pending before the U.S. Supreme Court, federal and state appellate courts, and trial courts. Vanessa has extensive experience drafting trial and mediation pleadings in high-stakes business litigation matters, including trial briefs, motions for summary judgment, motions to compel, and other discovery-related motions. Vanessa regularly obtained favorable outcomes for her clients in multi-million-dollar matters through dispositive motion briefing.
In addition, Vanessa has experience conducting large-scale internal and governmental investigations concerning potential violations of the FCPA, the FCA, and other alleged violations of federal and state regulatory requirements.
Vanessa was a law clerk to Chief Judge Theodore McKee of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Before and after her clerkship, Vanessa worked with major global and national firms. Vanessa is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court; the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit; and the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Vanessa is also licensed to practice in New York, Oklahoma, Arizona and Pennsylvania.
Currently, Vanessa sits on the Board of Directors for Langston University.
