Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Informational Program

November 6, 2019 | 12:00 PM

Classroom 1

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is looking for 1L, 2L, and 3L volunteers.
The program prepares income tax returns for low-income individuals, senior citizens and the disabled.
In early January, the program trains volunteers in simple tax return preparation. VITA prepare tax returns at the Norman Public Library on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 6:00 pm to 9:00 p.m., from the end of January through April 15.
The hours students spend with these clients will help them meet their pro bono pledge, and the experience is a great talking-point with prospective employers.
Lunch will be provided.
If you cannot attend or have any questions, contact student director Moriah Plowden.
