Healthcare Law

The healthcare sector is set to become the largest and fastest-growing sector in the U.S. economy, and OU Law is at the forefront in its offering of legal courses focused on healthcare law.

The Juris Doctor Program

The OU Law healthcare law curriculum provides students with a solid understanding of the laws that govern the U.S. healthcare system. Introductory courses focus on federal and state regulation of healthcare access, quality, liability, organization, and finance. Students who concentrate on healthcare law will be prepared to work in a variety of legal, industry, and government settings, including large and boutique law firms, health care delivery organizations, pharmaceutical companies, public and private payors, public health authorities, and federal and state enforcement agencies. The OU Law healthcare law curriculum is connected to a nationally recognized health sciences center that helps strengthen OU Law’s position and assists with providing relevant, innovative courses.

We also offer an LL.M. and an online M.L.S. in Healthcare Law.
