OU Law Associate Dean for Research and Scholarship Megan Shaner’s article, “Restoring the Balance of Power in Corporate Management: Enforcing an Officer’s Duty of Obedience,” was recently re-published in The Best of The Business Lawyer: 75 Years of Corporate Law.
The Best of The Business Lawyer is a collection of selected articles published in The Business Lawyer books from 1946 to present covering topics of corporate law and corporate governance. Shaner’s article was one of only 49 articles included in the book reviewed by the editors.
The selected article was first published in 2010 edition of The Business Lawyer, and “discusses the application to officers of the duty of obedience that exists in agency law and asserts that emphasizing this duty of officers would be an effective step toward restoring the proper balance of power in corporate management.”
