Professor Evelyn Aswad, Herman G. Kaiser Chair at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, has been appointed to the newly created Oversight Board , which will review certain content decisions by Facebook and Instagram.
Criminal Clinic student and 3L Matthew Acosta was recently involved with a project with the Lincoln County District Attorney’s Office to amend the sentence of a defendant who was convicted of a felony charge right before the passage of State Questions 780 and 781.
OU Law alumni David Bernstein (’83) and Noble McIntyre (’95) are two of the three founding members of Lawyers Fighting Hunger, a nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting hunger in Oklahoma. I had the amazing opportunity to spend my summer in New York City, interning in the Legal Division of UN Women. UN Women is the United Nations organization dedicated to the empowerment of women and gender equality.
The United States Court of Appeals for the 9th Circuit recently cited OU Law Professor Steven Gensler’s Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, Rules and Commentary (2018 edition) in an opinion involving a missing painting.
In August, eight students from the OU College of Law participated in an internship at the 96th session of the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination in Geneva, Switzerland.
