Join us March 31, 2026 for the 2026 Wilkinson Family Speaker Series, the University of Oklahoma College of Law's recurring lecture series on the topic of investor protection and securities law programmed in connection with the Public Investors Advocate Bar Association (PIABA). 

This year's lecture will take place at the Park House Event Center in Downtown Oklahoma City (301 W. Reno, Oklahoma City, OK 73102) and focuses on the topic of fraud prevention. By the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to describe the legal frameworks governing investor protections under federal and state law, identify key compliance considerations in public and private securities offerings, and recognize common indicators of investment fraud and financial exploitation, including issues affecting vulnerable investors. Participants will also discuss regulatory and enforcement perspectives on fraud prevention and investor safeguards and evaluate practical and ethical considerations for attorneys advising clients in securities-related matters.
