About

Dr. Roden is the Program Manager for the Master of Legal Studies in Indigenous Peoples Law (MLS-IPL) at the College of Law. She has been associated with the IPL program since its inception in 2013 and worked as an Instructional Designer and eLearning Specialist for non-traditional students. She continued working with the IPL program as the eLearning program facilitator for IPL students and faculty and conducted the annual assessment for the IPL program. In 2015, Dr. Roden became the Director of Academic Programs for OU's College of Professional & Continuing Studies (PACS) while still working with the IPL program. In this role, she conducted the annual assessment for each of the PACS graduate and undergraduate programs. In 2019, she transitioned to the Indigenous Peoples Law program at the College of Law full-time. As the IPL Program Manager, Dr. Roden conducts the annual assessment for the IPL program and assists with assessment for the other MLS programs. Before joining OU, Dr. Roden was an Associate Professor in Adult Learning and served as Communication Curriculum Coordinator, Director of the Center for Learning and Technology, and the Dean of Curriculum, Learning, and Institutional Assessment at other universities. Dr. Roden finds her current position as the Program Manager for Indigenous Peoples Law the most fulfilling of her career due to the impact graduates have in Native communities across the U.S.
