About

Professor Granston is a partner at the law firm of Covington & Burling, where he chairs the firm’s False Claims Act Investigations and Litigation practice.  He previously spent nearly 30 years in the Civil Division of the Department of Justice pursuing and supervising health care fraud matters, including as Deputy Assistant Attorney General.  He also served for more than a decade as the Civil Division’s Deputy Designated Agency Ethics Official. 

Before joining the Justice Department, Mr. Granston worked at Covington handling both civil and criminal matters.  He began his legal career serving as a law clerk to the Honorable David Ebel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit Court and the Honorable Jan Dubois of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
