About
Emilie Blanchard Wedman joined the University of Oklahoma College of Law faculty in Fall 2023 after teaching several semesters as a Visiting Professor.
Professor Wedman graduated summa cum laude from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in International Studies. In 2012, she received her J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law, where she was awarded the Martin Fellows Smith Award for most outstanding student, as well as seven CALI Awards. She served as Notes & Comments Editor for theTulsa Law Review and was a member of the Order of the Curule Chair.
Following law school, Professor Wedman served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert E. Bacharach on the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Under Judge Bacharach's mentorship, she developed a passion for the art of legal writing, which stuck with her through her years as a commercial litigator at Crowe & Dunlevy. Professor Wedman returned to the judiciary in 2018 to serve as Law Clerk to the Honorable Charles B. Goodwin at the United States District Court for the Western District of Oklahoma.
