Tour

Choose a tour time that works for you. Every tour is led by a current student, so you’ll get an authentic look at law school life and the chance to ask questions about classes, campus culture, and the admissions process.

Coats Hall is a dynamic, purpose-built space designed for learning, collaborating, and community building. Highlights include the Inasmuch Collaborative Learning Center, Chickasaw Active Learning Classroom, cozy lounges and cafe, and the Donald E. Pray Law Library Chapman Reading Room. The 250-seat Dick Bell Courtroom is among the largest high-tech courtrooms in the country and has hosted real appellate trials by the Oklahoma Supreme Court and U.S. Court of Appeals.

One of the best ways to get to know a law school is by hearing directly from those who’ve experienced it. At OU Law, our student ambassadors are here to share their insights, answer your questions, and help you explore everything from class offerings to job placement.

Group Visit & Presentation

At OU Law, we are passionate about expanding access to an affordable, rigorous legal education. We regularly speak to pre-law groups about the application process, life at OU Law, and careers in the legal field. Whether you're part of a pre-law society, mock trial team, or community organization, we’re excited to support your journey and help you explore what makes OU Law a great place to begin.

Interested in a group tour, an admissions presentation, or both? We’re happy to visit your campus or welcome you to ours. Complete the request form and a member of the Admissions Team will be in touch!

Prepare for Your Visit

We will do our best to accommodate all guests, however, our tours may reach capacity to maintain individualized attention. We encourage you to schedule your tour as soon as possible to ensure you have a spot that fits your schedule.

If there is no availability on the day that initially worked best for your schedule, we have a few alternative options for you to consider:

  • Schedule a tour for a date that is available! You can come another time to campus when we can best accommodate you to ensure you have the most quality experience.
  • Try a virtual tour! The same experience —with no travel and less walking! Scroll to the bottom of this page to watch our virtual tour whenever you want.
  • Come to an event or visit our table at a fair! There are events planned throughout the year that provide great programming and other ways to connect with and learn about OU. Sign up to receive more information.

Law school tours typically last about 30 minutes and are led by our current 2L and 3L students. Tours are scheduled around the academic calendar, so availability may vary throughout the year. They are conducted one-on-one, though guests are always welcome to join. Please refer to your confirmation email for details on entering the building. Don’t hesitate to ask questions—our guides are here to help! Business casual attire is recommended.

OU Law is located about one mile south of OU’s main campus, just northeast of the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History. Click here to view a map.

Please note: if you navigate using the law school’s address, it may take you to the north entrance, where parking is not available. Be sure to park and enter on the south side of the building. You’ll know you’re in the right place when you see the courtyard and fountain!

From I-35, take the Lindsey Street exit in Norman and head east. Turn right (south) on Chautauqua Avenue and continue to the stoplight at J. Willis Stovall Drive. Turn left (east) and follow the road toward the circle drive in front of Coats Hall, which will be on your left. Parking is located just south of the circle drive; designated visitor spots are marked and found in the first row.

To explore the Norman campus, check out our campus map and self-guided tour. If you’d like to see upcoming alumni events or connect with fellow alumni in your area, visit the Alumni Association. If you’re nearby, we’d love for you to stop by the Law Center—our Director of Alumni Relations, Jonathan Rogers, would be happy to hear from you.
