An in-person graduation ceremony, to honor the JD, MLS, and LLM Class of 2025 will be held at the Lloyd Noble Center on Sunday, May 17, 2025 at 5:30 p.m.
There will be no limit on the number of guests and no tickets are required to attend! Information on parking, when the doors will open, allowed materials, etc., as well as detailed instructions for graduates, will be posted in late April.
Parking information, accessibility services, and safety protocol can be found at: https://www.ou.edu/commencement/ceremonies/2026-may/
Regalia can be purchased from Jostens online. The deadline to order is Thursday, March 27, 2026 to receive regalia in time for graduation!
- Choose: University of Oklahoma, Norman Campus (the link above should take you directly there but double check)
- Click on the “Graduation Caps & Gowns” box.
- Choose the "Student Law Ship to Home" option.
- This should bring up the Doctorate regalia set for law that includes a gown, zipper pull, tam, purple tassel, and hood for $126. **Please do NOT buy a University Stole or the school-colored tassel, as those are not worn at the JD ceremony. First Generation stoles are not governed by the law school, so we do not monitor if you qualify.
- Fill in your height and weight in order to get the right size, checkout and pay, and the regalia will ship straight to your house!
**Opened items CANNOT be returned, so please do not open the regalia package should you want to return it for any reason.**
If you prefer to purchase regalia in person, Josten’s will set up a pop-up shop under the stadium in early April. Details will be forthcoming.
It is also okay to borrow regalia from a previous graduate, but you MUST have the entire set (gown, tassel, tam, and hood) for the ceremony.
Juris Doctor recipients are robed in purple and are wearing tams. Recipients of the Master of Legal Studies degree are robed in purple and are wearing mortar boards. Gold sashes designate recipients of the Master of Laws degree.
You must apply online for graduation by logging into ONE. Under the “Academics” tab, find the “Apply to Graduate” link, select “spring 2026,” fill out your information and click “submit.” Please ignore the "Find your graduation planner" link as it is not relevant to your graduation requirements. There is no need to complete the convocation ceremony information unless you are participating in the main campus ceremony. The law ceremony is separate (more information on that to be released soon). If you have any questions, please contact Becky Lucas.
