About
Teresa A. Williams is Of Counsel at the Christensen Law Group in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she teaches two courses in the Master of Legal Studies/LL.M. program in Healthcare Administration. She also provides healthcare law, compliance and privacy consulting services to hospitals, health systems and ACOs. She formerly provided similar consulting services at Horne LP between 2021 and 2023.
She was the former General Counsel/Vice President of Regulatory Services at INTEGRIS Health, Inc. During her 22 years with INTEGRIS, she oversaw several departments, including Legal Services, Corporate Compliance and Legislative Affairs. She also served as the INTEGRIS Corporate Compliance and Privacy Officer for 8 years. She served as an Adjunct Professor at Mid-America Christian University between 2000 and 2012, teaching legal classes in the Health Care Administration Master and Bachelor’s Degree Programs and in the Business Management and Ethics Program Master and Bachelor’s Degree Programs. Ms. Williams was formerly a director in the Oklahoma City law firm of Crowe & Dunlevy.
She is a frequent author and speaker on health law related topics at local and national seminars for continuing legal education. Ms. Williams’ healthcare practice focuses on physician contracting, hospital contracting, managed care contracting, joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions, compliance, regulatory issues, HIPAA/privacy, EMTALA, information technology, electronic medical records, clinical research, medical staff issues, tax-exempt issues, policies and procedures, and intellectual property. She has been in practice since 1991.
She is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Oklahoma Health Lawyers Association and the Oklahoma Bar Association. She is a past President of the Oklahoma Health Lawyers Association and a past President of the Oklahoma Bar Association Health Law Section. She has been recognized as an AHLA Fellow. She previously served on the Board of Directors of the American Health Lawyers Association and numerous Board committees. She also served on the Boards of Directors at The C.A.R.E. Center – Child Abuse Response and Evaluation and the Hough Ear Institute. She currently serves on the Editorial Board for the Health Care Compliance Professional’s Manual. Additionally, she has served as an Advisory Board Member for the College of Business at the University of Central Oklahoma. She is a Master Emeritus and a former officer in the Ruth Bader Ginsburg American Inn of Court.
