About

Tony Rupert worked as a trial lawyer at a large downtown OKC firm for the first 30 years of his career, before leaving in 2016 to form a boutique litigation firm, Rupert & Steiner.

He has tried over 70 cases to verdict.  Some of those cases were small, and some were very large, with two trials won for over $100 million and four other trials won for over $15 million. His trials have been for injured plaintiffs as well as for large corporate defendants, and they have not been concentrated in a single industry or area but have varied from banking transactions, to toxic-exposure torts, design defects, construction contracts, trademarks, computer system designs, patents, and business fraud cases.  Most recently, in 2023, he won a $96 million case in the U.S. Supreme Court that resolved the territorial reach of U.S. trademark law in foreign countries.

Tony is a native Oklahoman, married to Barbara, an University of Oklahoma law graduate, and proud father of three University of Oklahoma graduates, including a 2024 OU law graduate, Nick.  Tony began his college career at the University of Oklahoma where he was an All-Around on the Gymnastics team, and a 2-year letterman.  He cannot swing pommel horse anymore, but he is a highly competitive Senior Division rower.
