Brittany Mayes brings a blend of legal experience and clinical mental health training to her role as the embedded counselor at the University of Oklahoma College of Law. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Letters in 2006 and a Juris Doctorate in 2010, both from the University of Oklahoma. After beginning her career in law school admissions and the practice of law, Brittany developed a strong interest in clinical counseling and decided to embark on a new career path. In 2023, she completed a Master of Education in Clinical Professional Counseling at the University of Oklahoma and became an LPC-Candidate.
Brittany is excited to offer mental health services tailored to the unique challenges and demands of legal education. She is often accompanied by Ellie, her golden retriever and certified therapy dog, who is a beloved presence among law students, faculty, and staff.
Brittany Mayes is the embedded counselor for the University of Oklahoma College of Law. She provides individual therapy, drop-in consultations, and crisis services for law students.
