Meet Our Healthcare Law Faculty.
OU Law has a number of talented faculty who teach and conduct research in a wide variety of areas within healthcare law. Professor Stacey Tovino teaches a number of foundational and elective courses, including Health Care Access, Quality, and Liability; Health Care Organization, Finance, and Delivery; Health Data Confidentiality and Security; and Mental Health Law. Professor Tovino also serves as Faculty Advisor to the Disability Law Student Association. Professor Gail Mullins teaches Bioethics and the Law, a student favorite, and serves as Faculty Advisor to the Health Law Student Association. Healthcare law students also have the opportunity to enroll in directed research classes, to serve as research assistants to OU Law’s healthcare law faculty, and to participate in the National Health Law Moot Court Competition, creating additional curricular, research, and experiential opportunities.
Earn Your M.P.H. & J.D. Dual Degree.
Students who wish to elevate their health law studies should consider enrolling in the Master of Public Health and Juris Doctorate dual degree program. Offered jointly by OU College of Law and the College of Public Health, the dual degree program emphasizes the growing intersection of law and public health and provides the opportunity for students to complete a three-year J.D. and a two-year M.P.H. in a combined four years of study.
